Susan Rookstool, 75, of Frisco, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on December 13, 1949, in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, to Celastine (Klause) and Delbert Barnett.
On October 16, 1971, Susan married Leslie Allen Rookstool in Newark, Delaware. She enjoyed a distinguished career and formerly served as Vice President of Inserv in Dallas, Texas, where she led intercultural training programs for foreign nationals relocating to corporate positions in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.
Susan is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Les Rookstool of Frisco, Texas; her children: Brian Rookstool of McKinney, Texas; Stacey Rookstool Kuo and her husband Jeff Kuo of McKinney, Texas, and Chad Rookstool and his partner Jana Barker of Dallas, Texas. She was a loving Nana to her grandchildren: Hayden Weston of Frisco, Brinkley Weston of McKinney, and Ayden Kuo of McKinney, who brought immense joy and pride to her life.
She is also survived by her sister, Wendy Mazur, and husband Vince of Castle Rock, Colorado; her brothers, John Barnett and wife Eileen of Springfield, Pennsylvania, and Delbert Barnett and wife Pat of Tallahassee, Florida.
Susan’s cherished extended family includes her nieces and nephews: Dr. Laurel Mazur and husband Patrick Ballard of Granger, Indiana, and their daughter Lydia Ballard; Suzie Howell-Lingle of Roswell, New Mexico and her daughter Celestine Howell of Fort Collins, Colorado; Ronnie Perozzi and wife Colleen of New Smyrna, Florida; Charles Ryan and his wife Katherine Ryan of Dover, Pennsylvania, and their children Olivia, Owen, and Blake Ryan; and Heidi Bowser of Dover, Pennsylvania with children Erin Deak and Robbie Bowser. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Lynne Wesley, and husband Ron Wesley of Mt. Laurel, New Jersey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Celastine and Delbert Barnett, and her sister, Alice Ryan.
