Susan Lynne Heiermann age 69, passed away peacefully on July 10th, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after a long, courageous battle with chronic illness.

Born on April 10th, 1957, in Lancaster, Wisconsin, Susan was the daughter of Melvin and LaVon Crubaugh. She grew up in Clovis, New Mexico, where she developed her lifelong passion for family, gardening, teaching, and making people laugh. She graduated from Tennessee Temple University in Chattanooga, TN in 1979. After graduating, she taught elementary school in Clovis, NM and Massillon, OH. Susan was a dedicated wife, homemaker and homeschooled her children for 22 years.

In 1979, Susan married her best friend and the love of her life, John Heiermann. Together, they shared 46 beautiful years of marriage filled with adventure, laughter, and unconditional love.

Above all else, Susan was a fiercely devoted mother to her children and grandmother to her beloved grandchildren. She poured her heart into raising them, teaching them the values of kindness, resilience, love for God and family. Her family was her greatest joy and proudest achievement.

Susan was known for her unwavering love of Christ and demonstrated it throughout her entire adult life. She also had an incredible love for children of all ages. They were drawn to her as much as she was drawn to them. Susan enjoyed hosting a large variety of events and a unique ability to make anyone feel welcome. She had an infectious laugh and brought warmth and light into every room she entered. Her adult life was spent living in Utah, New Mexico, Ohio and Texas, where she developed and cherished many lifelong friendships.

Susan is survived and dearly missed by her husband John; her children Andrew Heiermann (Beth Ann) of Frisco, TX, Steven Heiermann (Anna) of Johnstown, OH, Heather Holloway (Dustin) of Gaffney, SC, and Rebecca Dow (Marshall) of Ft. Worth, TX. Her grandchildren Allen and Heidi (Andrew/Beth Ann), and Ella, Ember, Henry, Zeke (Heather/Dustin). Her siblings: Peggy Smith (Tom), Jane Finch (Joel), Jeff Crubaugh (Linda), Tim Crubaugh, and Jennifer Harger (John).

She was preceded in death by her parents; Melvin and LaVon Crubaugh and brother David Crubaugh.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 28th at 9:30AM followed by a brief memorial service at Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home in Celina, located at 109 South Oklahoma Drive, Celina, TX 75009.

Last respects will be held to follow promptly at 1:15PM, located at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery located at 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.
