Sunny Harrington, age 83, of Allen, Texas, passed away on June 24, 2009. She was born December 13, 1925 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Durward and Della (Walker) Prude. On October 9, 1948, she married Gene Harrington in Phaebus, Virginia. Sunny served her country proudly as a Master Sergeant in the United States Army during WWII and was stationed overseas. She was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church of Plano. She is survived by her loving husband, Gene Harrington of Allen, Texas; son, Gene Harrington, II and wife Janet of Fairview, Texas; daughter, Becky Dean and husband David of Denver, Colorado; granddaughters, Kristi Dean and Kelsey Dean also of Denver, Colorado. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Karen. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m., on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 in the Chapel at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas, with Rev. Dennis George officiating. A private inurnment will be held at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
