IN LOVING MEMORY

Sue Ellen Baker

Mar 18 1946 - Mar 27 2024

Sue Ellen Baker passed away March 27, 2024 in Claremore, Oklahoma at the age of 78. She was born to Harry Vernon Baker and Esther Ruth Cave on March 18, 1946 in McKinney, Texas.

Nana was a beacon of love and warmth, whose presence brought joy to all who knew her. She spent her life spreading love and kindness to everyone she encountered. Her generosity knew no bounds and she never met a stranger. She was passionate about her career as a radiographer. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her gentle spirit and infectious laughter will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Nana had a special gift for nurturing and caring for others. Anyone who knew Nana knows she was the “best cook”. She had a talent for making everyone feel welcome and cherished. Nana's legacy of love will live on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her memory will be cherished, and her spirit will continue to inspire us all. Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we take comfort in knowing that Nana is now at peace, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her. Enjoy heaven, Nana, and have a good time.

Sue is survived by her son, Tony Baker and wife, Amber of Claremore, Oklahoma; granddaughter, Alex Matlock and husband, Stephen of Joplin, Missouri; grandson, Nolan Baker and wife, Alexa of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; great grandchildren, Orion “Maverick” and Cora; and sister, Annabelle Darland of McKinney, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Baker and mother, Ruth Cave.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
