Sue Carolyn Trail Aday of Coppell, Texas passed away November 8, 2025 at the age of 84.  She was born October 24, 1941 in Dallas, Texas to Ewin L. and Janie Helen (Robinson) Trail.

She married James Clifford Aday on April 8, 1962 in Plano Texas.  They had two children, Kimberly Michele (Aday) Hannan and James Clifford Aday, Jr.

Sue attended Plano schools for twelve years and graduated in 1960.  She then studied at North Texas State University for two years.  Sue was employed at Collins Radio for 9 years before joining the United States Postal Service where she worked the next 31 years in various Accounting and Human Resources positions.

Sue and her husband enjoyed travel across the world and particularly cherished their trips to Australia, Hawaii, and Alaska.  She was always excited to spend time outdoors and loved gardening and spending time working with James on their properties in Coppell, Texas and McAlester, Oklahoma.

Sue was an excellent cook and she valued spending time with her family.  Her creativity was always on display through her flare for decorating and party planning.  She was also known for her generous gift giving and spoiling her grandchildren.

Sue is survived by her daughter Kim and husband Todd, son Jim and wife Carolyn, grandchildren Lauren Hannan and James Aday, and sisters Shirley Wilson and Betty Williams.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of sixty years James Aday, brother E.L. Trail, Jr., and grandchild Scott O’Brien Hannan.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013

 Interment will be held at Plano Mutual Cemetery following the service.

The family will receive friends during a visitation on Friday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
