Steven Wayne Murphy

Steven Wayne Murphy of Arlington, Texas passed away July 30, 2020 at the age of 56.  He was born on October 7, 1963 to William David Murphy and Helen Faye (Collins) Murphy in McKinney, Texas.  Steven worked as a paver in the construction industry.  He was of the Christian faith.

Steven is survived by his brothers, David Glen Murphy, Lloyd Eugene Murphy, and Christopher Scott Murphy; sister, Susan Renea Murphy; grew up with like a brother and sister, Joy and Michael Mayfield; cousin like a brother, Walter Ray Watson; aunts, Ruth Daniels and Elizabeth Collins; cousins, Carla Ann Watson, Thomas Glenn Watson, Charlotte Faye Watson, Keith Grady, Billy Ray Grady, Billy Merle Grady, Anna Grady, and Leo Grady; nieces and nephews, Gavin, Grayson, Gabriel, Christin, Cody, Cord, Nicki, Adam, Jessica, Anyia, Cane, and Brittany; and a host of other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Helen Murphy; and foster parents, M.J. Mayfield and Evelyna Mayfield; brother, Gregory Murphy.

In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only 100 guests will be allowed to attend the Funeral Service.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 1, 2020, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas, and will also be live streamed on the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Facebook page and a recorded video will be available following the funeral service on Steven’s obituary page.

However, when the maximum number of guests are reached, those who would like to honor Steven and show their support to his/her family may remain at the funeral home in your vehicle, where you can watch the live streamed service on your personal device (laptop, tablet or smartphone) or listen through a designated FM radio channel.

 The interment is to follow the funeral service at Altoga Cemetery in Altoga, Texas.
