Steve Combest

February 7, 1957 - July 30, 2020

Steven Dale Combest of Wylie, Texas, passed away on July 30, 2020. He was born on February 7, 1957, to Edgar Lee Combest and Bonnie (Duckworth) Combest in Sherman, Texas. Steve was baptized at the First Baptist Church of Princeton, Texas. Steve married Kathie Diann Mills on July 12, 1975, in Princeton, Texas. He operated the family owned real estate business. Steve was a member of the Princeton Masonic Lodge #1436 established in 1975. He was also a member of First Baptist Church in Wylie.

Steve is survived by his wife, Kathie Combest of Wylie, Texas; daughter, Alicia Combest O’Mary and husband, John of Spokane, Washington; son, Steven Joe Combest and wife, Lauren of Dallas, Texas; two granddaughters, Elizabeth and Audrey; mother, Bonnie Combest of McKinney, Texas; sister, Linda Combest Shaw and husband, Jeff of Princeton, Texas; niece, Bryttni Wolfe and husband Doug of Van Alstyne, Texas; nephew, Brad Morrow and wife Colleen of Van Alstyne, Texas; aunt, Peggy Minihan of Wylie, Texas; brother-in-law, Mike Mills of Dennison, Texas, several cousins, and a host of other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edgar Lee Combest; brother, Larry Combest and wife, Pat and their daughter, Kristie.

Steve loved the Lord, his family, and life!

A private service will be held Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. 

A “come and go” visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing. The family has requested masks to be worn at the visitation. The family also respectfully requests that guests refrain from hugging due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
