Steven Craighead of Lowry Crossing, Texas passed away on May 27, 2016 at the age of 57. He was born on September 18, 1958 to Herman Lewis and Verjean Helen (Miller) Craighead in Dallas, Texas. Steven graduated from North Mesquite High School in 1977. He proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard. Steven married Cindy Lou Riddle on October 24, 2009 in Lowry Crossing, Texas. He was a police officer in Rockwall and Sachse before going into the security business. Steven was an active member of the Landmark Baptist Church in Nevada, Texas. He was an avid fisherman, pheasant hunter and golfer.
Steven is survived by his loving wife of 6 years, Cindy Craighead; step-son, Alex Fowler both of Lowry Crossing, Texas; mother, Jean Craighead of McKinney, Texas; granddaughters, Lilah and Fallon, and their mother, Sheri Fowler; sister, Kathi Riddle and husband John of McKinney, Texas; niece, Heather Riddle; nephew, Sean Riddle; brothers and sisters-in-law, Don Riddle, Diane Armstrong, Becky Varnado, and Paul Riddle; and numerous cousins and other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herman Craighead.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Saturday evening, May 28, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
