Steve Lee Warne passed away on July 5, 2021 at the age of 75 in Saginaw, Michigan. He was born on November 10, 1945 to Ralph Jasper and Mina (Kvenlog) Warne in Mercedes, Texas. Steve graduated from Gunter High School in 1964 and was drafted into the United States Army. He served for 2 years and received an honorable discharge. Steve married Shelia Kay Campbell on June 28, 1968 in Wylie, Texas. He retired from American Airlines after working for 38 and a half years as a crew chief. Steve’s hobbies included gardening, bee keeping, fishing, and traveling.
He is survived by his wife, Shelia Kay Warne; son, Stephen Warne and wife, Ginger of Richland, North Carolina; son, Anthony Warne and wife, Simone of Anna, Texas; son, Jonathan Warne and wife, Melody of Glenn Heights, Texas; daughter, Alicia Spillman and husband, Joseph of Terrell, Texas; grandchildren, Caleb, Hope, Noah, Nate, and Lily; brother, Bill Warne and wife, Geraldine of Melissa, Texas; sister, Eunice Gauthier and husband, Joseph of Sherman, Texas; sister, Anna Mae Warne of Sherman, Texas; sister, Becky Dell and husband, Richard of Van Alstyne, Texas, and a host of other loving family and friends.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mina Warne.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 12, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
