Steve Cummins, age 51, of McKinney, Texas, passed away October 26, 2011 in McKinney. Steve was born December 28, 1960, in Quantico, Virginia, to Donald Bruce and Mary Nelle (Terrell) Cummins. He grew up in Dallas, Texas and was a Lake Highlands High School graduate where he also played football and was an Eagle Scout. Steve graduated from the University of North Texas. He worked as a counselor at Texas Christian University. Steve was employed with Adventure Experiences where he worked as a trainer and facilitator. He had a passion for music and was an avid sports fan. Steve adored his children and especially loved watching them participate in sports and dance. He is survived by his daughter, Annie L. Cummins of Ft. Worth, Texas; son, Samuel M. Cummins of Godley, Texas; their mother, Tracee Cummins; parents, Don and Mary Nelle Cummins of McKinney, Texas; sisters, Diane E. Cummins of Haslett, Michigan and Donna Floyd and husband, Jim of Ft. Worth, Texas; nephews, James and William Floyd, both of Ft. Worth, Texas; nieces, MaryAshton Floyd, of Ft. Worth, Texas and Maddie and Molly Cummins-Freund of Haslett, Michigan; and numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Roy and Louise Cummins and Tol and Chic Terrell. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 29, 2011, at First United Methodist Church in McKinney, Texas with Dr. Tommy Brumett and Rev. Doug Fox officiating.
