Stephen John Miller of Wylie, Texas passed away unexpectedly on November 24, 2021 at the age of 59 from a heart attack. He was born on September 4, 1962 to Ralph Edward and Irene (Heess) Miller in Omaha, Nebraska. Stephen attended kindergarten in Germany and throughout his life had a fond love for all things German. He graduated from Hood River High School. Stephen was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served a mission for the Church in Des Moines, Iowa. Stephen moved to Texas to build homes with his dad and that’s where he met his sweetheart. Stephen married Karen Honeycutt on March 20, 1984 in the Mesa, Arizona LDS Temple. He went on to start his own remodeling business and was the go-to for anything related to home improvement.
He is survived by his wife, Karen Miller of Wylie, Texas; daughters, Breanne (Adam) Olson of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jessica Miller of Carrollton, Texas, Kayle (Matthew) Starliper of Corpus Christi, Texas; and Allie (Trevor) Jensen of Allen, Texas; mother, Irene Hatch; sisters, Christina (Jacob) Evens and Pamela (Greg) Sanders. He lived for his grandkids and was blessed with 7 grandsons (Tucker, Charles, Luke, Cooper, Crew, Paxton, and Benson) and 4 granddaughters (Winnie, Kate, Georgia, and Lucy) who were his world. Family was everything to Stephen, and he taught them to be generous, work hard, and serve others. His legacy will live on through his posterity.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 3, 2021 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 651 E. Stacy Rd Fairview, Texas 75069. A visitation before the service will begin at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North in Allen, Texas.
