IN LOVING MEMORY

Stephen Joseph Sidorchuk

Mar 07 1955 - Dec 15 2022

Stephen Joseph Sidorchuk of McKinney, Texas passed away December 15, 2022 at the age of 67. He was born to Stephen and Emma (Lalama) Sidorchuk in New Castle, Pennsylvania on March 7, 1955.

Steve grew up in New Castle and graduated from New Castle High School in 1973. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering from Penn State University in 1977. Steve worked for 42 years in various positions and traveled the world for Linde/Union Carbide/Praxair. After all his hard work, he retired in May 2019 and became engrossed in his personal finances with “Sidorchuk Inc”. Spending time with his wife, Melissa, and daughter, Natalee, was his greatest joy. He was fascinated with airplanes, enjoyed his flight simulator, golfing, gardening, traveling, and was intrigued by technology. He enjoyed having the “latest and greatest”. Steve enjoyed football and was a Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He had a major thirst for knowledge and was a huge history buff. Steve was beloved by his family, friends, and colleagues, and he was a special soul who impacted the lives of countless people. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Melissa Sidorchuk of McKinney, Texas; daughter, Natalee Sidorchuk of McKinney, Texas; sister, Mary Ann McNicholas and husband, William of New Castle, Pennsylvania; brother, John Sidorchuk of New Castle, Pennsylvania; sister, Nancy Knallay and husband, Scott of Chippewa Township, Pennsylvania; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Emma Sidorchuk, and his brother, Leonard Sidorchuk.

Celebration of life gatherings will be held late spring 2023 in McKinney, Texas, New Castle, Pennsylvania, and Shelby Township, Michigan. We are working on setting up a fund/scholarship through Penn State’s chemical engineering department in Steve’s honor. With the university’s holiday closure, a link will be provided after the first of the year.
