Stella Lavana Richardson of Princeton, Texas passed away on March 1, 2021 at the age of 88. She was born on November 8, 1932 to Orville Smith and Beulah (Jenkins) Smith in McKinney, Texas. Stella was active in the Senior Citizens Center in McKinney. She loved to garden, dance, play 42 and bingo, but more than anything Stella loved her family. She was a member of the High Pointe Church of Christ in McKinney.
Stella is survived by her daughters, Ann Cash and husband, Jeff of Tallapoosa, Georgia, Phyllis Palmer of Mesquite, Texas, Donna Rice and husband, Rick of McKinney, Texas and Debra Howerton and husband, Ken of McKinney, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert Smith of Princeton, Texas, Guy Smith and wife, Carolyn of Greenville, Texas and Gary Smith and wife, Betty of Leonard, Texas; and many loving nephews, nieces, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Beulah Smith; sister, Wilma Jean Hargrove; brothers, Lloyd Smith, Cletice Smith and W.A. Smith; and 2 grandchildren, Amy Palmer and Sabrina Duncan.
In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of guests will be allowed to attend the Funeral Service.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, March 5, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. The service will also be live streamed at TJMfuneral.com on Stella’s obituary page by clicking on the following link: https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/stella-l-richardson. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location.
However, when the maximum number of guests are reached, those who would like to honor Stella and show their support to her family may remain at the funeral home in your vehicle, where you can watch the live streamed service on your personal device (laptop, tablet or smartphone).
Following the funeral service, a procession will make its way to the Wilson Chapel Cemetery for a committal service where all are invited to attend the committal service maintaining social distancing directives or you may remain in your vehicle.
