Spencer Lesley Sprayberry was born September 20, 1944 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Grandville Wesley Sprayberry, Sr. and Doris Fern Holthusen Sprayberry. He passed away on September 27, 2023 in Denison, Tesas at the age of 79 years.
After Spencer graduated from high school he served his nation in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Over the years of his life he was employed as a long haul truck driver, and put himself through college. He was a two- million- mile truck driver and a member of OOIDA, St. Louis, Missouri.
After being over the road for many years, Spencer became a Methodist Minister, preaching the gospel at First United Methodist Church in Tom Bean. He was Minister to the Elks and a Master Mason.
Spencer created a Wedding and Funeral Ministry named “For Heaven’s Sake Ministries”, acting as President-Officiant for weddings and funeral services.
Throughout his life and ministry, Spencer had a gift of recognizing the needs of others. Whenever he knew that someone had a need of any kind, he stepped in to help them.
Countless lives have been touched by Spencer’s loving, caring and giving heart. He will be deeply missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grandville and Doris Sprayberry, and twin brother, Grandville Wesley Sprayberry, Jr.
He was cremated as were his wishes.
