Sonia Maria Desouzaneto of Irving, Texas passed away on April 6, 2020 at the age of 59. She was born on May 1, 1960 to Djalma Soares Rodrigues and Esther Cavaca in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais in Brazil. Sonia grew up in Brazil where she attended schools and received her undergraduate degree. She moved to the United States in 1982. Sonia worked as a banquet server for the Four Seasons Resort and Club for 25 years. She loved traveling, playing the lotto, being in the sun by the pool and on the beaches. Sonia also loved traveling back to Brazil to see her family. She was of Catholic faith.
Sonia is survived by her partner of 30 years, Barbra Poole of Irving, Texas; sisters, Rosilene Cavaca Soares, Jacqueline Cavaca Soares Pontes, Ruth Cavaca Soares and Soraya Cavaca Vallejo; several nieces and nephews and a host of other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Rogerio Cavaca Soares and Wellington Jose Soares; and sister, Sandra Cavaca Soares.
