Silvia Vito, who left this world on May 27, 2026, at the age of 80. She was born on June 27, 1945 to Oreste Spadaccino and Maria (Galluzzo) Spadaccino Calabria, Italy. Silvia's journey was one of beauty, resilience, and hard work marked by a deep love for her family and a passion for life.
Silvia married the love of her life, Giuseppe Vito, on April 11, 1964, in Argentina. Together, they created a life anchored in love and filled with cherished memories. Silvia was a talented seamstress who loved to sew. She devoted herself to her family, nurturing her children and raising her grandchildren with endless love and warmth.
Her kitchen was a sanctuary, filled with delicious meals and baked treats, crafted with the same care she poured into everything she did. As a devoted Catholic, she found strength in her faith, lighting the way not only for herself but for all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Silvia will be remembered as a loving wife, a dedicated mother, a cherished grandmother, and a dear friend to many. Her laughter and kindness will echo in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Silvia will be deeply missed
She is survived by her beloved husband, Giuseppe Vito of Van Alstyne, Texas; sons, Sergio Vito and wife, Andrea, also of Van Alstyne, Texas and Marcelo Vito and wife, Jennifer of Havre de Grace, Maryland; honorary daughter, Claudia Del Colle of Abingdon, Maryland; grandchildren, Christian Vito and wife, Alissa, Cynthia Weinhold and husband, Brendan, Kiara Buettner and husband, Neil, Stefania Distefano and husband, Daniel, and Gianni Vito; great-grandchildren, Emery, Parker, Leo, and Beckham; and numerous other loving family and friends.
Silvia was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 30, 2026 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location. Following the service, a procession will make its way to Ridgeview Memorial Park for a committal service.
The family will receive friends during a visitation on Saturday morning at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
