Mrs. Shirley Pennington Montaldo, age 72, of Plano, Texas passed away August 20, 2009, at her home. She was born on January 2, 1937, in McKinney, Texas to Don C. and Nadine (Lenderman) Pennington. Mrs. Montaldo grew up in McKinney and was a member of the North Baptist Church. On November 24, 1981, she married Fred Montaldo in Durant, Oklahoma. She worked for Rockwell International for 28 years as a parts assembler. She is survived by her husband, Fred; daughters, Deborah Kay Rutledge of Dallas, Texas, Sherri Gayle Pierce and her husband, Glenn of North Branch, Minnesota, Lisa Danette Moen and her husband, Dave of Bedford, Texas, Gina Miller of Snyder, Texas and Marjorie Montaldo of Dallas; 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; brother, Jack Pennington and his wife, Betty of Anna, Texas; sister, Kay Burnside and her husband, Geary of McKinney, Texas; several nieces, nephews and a host of other family and many friends. Her parents and sister, Dona Gayle Wilson preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, August 23, 2009, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. Dave Phelps officiating. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for a visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m., Saturday, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home.
