Musician, retired Audiologist, and Speech Pathologist Shirley Roberts’ love of life did not come to an end with her death. Shirley passed away on March 26, 2022, at the age of 74 after a courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia.
Shirley completed her Master’s degree at Texas Woman’s University. She then worked for the Carrollton Farmers Branch School District for 24 years. She retired and began traveling to her favorite places Colorado and New Mexico where she took up a fondness for the Native American culture. Through her years of working, she shared her passion for learning with thousands of children over the years.
Shirley loved to play her accordion and organ in her spare time. She loved spending time with her grandson and other family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Zone Mae Fazakerley, father, George J. Fazakerley and loving husband, Joseph H. Roberts. She is survived by her son, Steven D. Roberts, daughter, Ashley Nicole Salazar and her husband Alberto L Salazar, her grandson, Nathan Salazar, her adopted daughter, Jessica Carter and her husband Michael Carter and her little dog Harvey.

Family and friends are invited to a Visitation on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, Texas 75033, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at the Berkshire Chapel on Thursday, March 31, 2022, beginning at 12:00 PM. Interment will be held at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211, on Thursday, April 14, 2022, beginning at 10:15 AM.
