Shirley June Cothran, age 79, of Wylie, Texas, passed away on November 15, 2016. She was born December 7, 1936 in McKinney, Texas to Tinsley Roe and Naomi (Brown) Fisher. Shirley attended McKinney High School. She married Billy Charles Aaron in McKinney, Texas. Shirley was a terrific seamstress for Haggar’s Slacks for many years; she later went to work for Johnson’s in Wylie, where she retired. Shirley raised six children. She was a woman who loved her soap opera TV shows and especially Survivor.
She is survived by her children, Elana Vess and husband Charles, Phillip Aaron and wife Lori, Patricia Locke and husband Don, Larry Aaron and wife Kim, Loretta Hartman and husband Trevan, Connie Durrett; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Nell Cooper and husband Danny, Barbara Miller; and brother, Don Fisher and wife Peggy.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Tinsley and Naomi Fisher; daughter, Cindy Kay Aaron; brother, Ed Fisher and wife Betty; and sister, Patsy Aaron and husband James.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Pecan Grove Cemetery in McKinney, Texas. The family will receive friends during a visitation, Wednesday evening, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
