Shirley Jean Wilson Angus, age 83 of Leonard, Texas, passed away at Hunt Regional Medial Center in Greenville, Texas on December 8, 2020. Shirley was born March 11, 1937 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to Opal Wilson. She married Harley E “Gene” Angus on April 24, 1965 in Parkersburg, West Virginia and they were married for 54 years prior to his death in June of 2019.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Snyder of Leonard, Terri Cummings and her husband Glenn of Celeste, and Valerie McArthur and her husband Murray of Plano; grandchildren, Tommy Davis and wife Chelsea, Brad Snyder and wife Janet of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Haley Crow and husband Quinton, and Murray McArthur Jr. of Plano; great-grandchildren Tarryn Davis, Quintin Davis, Jonathon Snyder, Jubilee Snyder, Tristen Snyder, and Finley Crow. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son-in-law Jeffrey Snyder.

She retired from Pennzoil Corporation in 1993 and Southland Corporation in 2004.

Loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Shirley was the historian of the family with an excellent attention to detail. She loved her crossword puzzles and her puppies.

She will be missed by many, especially her three girls.

A celebration of life will be held later in the new year.
