Shirley Deaton Fell of Plano, Texas passed away on November 15, 2018 at the age of 82. She was born on June 13, 1936 to Oliver and Vera (Johnson) Deaton in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. Shirley grew up in Morenci, Arizona. She taught school in the Isaac School District in Phoenix, Arizona. Shirley married William Fell on February 24, 1968 in Phoenix, Arizona. After the birth of their son, Billy, the family relocated to Plano, Texas in 1969. Shirley volunteered for many years for the Wellness Center in Plano and for the Jewish Food Bank. She also volunteered for Sen. Florence Shapiro’s district office.
Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Bill Fell of Plano, Texas; son, Bill Fell, Jr. and wife, Samantha of Cedar Park, Texas; grandchildren, Matthew and John; and numerous other loving family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. A graveside Inurnment will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen.
