Shirley Ray Davidson, age 82, of Plano, Texas, passed away November 29, 2008, in Plano. Shirley was born July 5, 1926, in McKinney, Texas, to Robert Uley and Rosa Lee (Cooper) Davidson. He married Dorothy LaJean Hanna on May 2, 1947 in McKinney. Shirley proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. He grew up in McKinney and worked at Texas Instruments for thirty-three years. Shirley was a volunteer fireman for the Plano Fire Department and a member of the Plano CB Club. He was known for keeping the ducks at Bob Woodruff Park in Plano well fed and earned the name “Duck Man”. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Davidson of Plano, Texas; daughter, Judy Davidson of Euless, Texas; son, Kevin Davidson and wife, Kathy of Plano, Texas; daughter, Sherri Davidson Reagan and husband, Larry of McKinney, Texas; son, Rob Davidson and wife, Christy of Plano, Texas; brother, Scott Davidson of Howe, Texas; granddaughters, Jennifer Kyeli Smith of Austin, Texas, Lauren Reagan of McKinney, Texas, and Heather Davidson of Plano, Texas; grandsons, Tony Lorino of Euless, Texas, Aaron Reagan of McKinney, Texas, Timothy Davidson, Joshua Davidson, Daniel Davidson, and Jacob Davidson, all of Plano, Texas; and great-grandson, Dru Smith of Austin, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, four brothers, and daughter, Karen Elaine Davidson. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 P.M., Monday, December 1, 2008, at Wilson Chapel Cemetery in McKinney, Texas with Pastor Scott Fenton officiating. The family will receive friends during a visitation beginning at 5:00 P.M. Sunday evening at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
