Shirley Ann Ogden, 78, passed away on January 28, 2026. She was born on August 6, 1947, in Phoenix, Arizona, to John Seaborn and Hazel Lundberg.

Shirley was raised in Wickenburg, where she attended local schools and graduated from Wickenburg High School. She went on to pursue higher education at Arizona State University, earning her bachelor’s degree and setting the stage for a long and accomplished professional career.

For more than 30 years, Shirley worked at Lee Financial as a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She was widely respected in her field and actively involved in professional leadership, serving as President of the Dallas CFA Society, Advocate for the Southern CFA Region, and as a member of the Plano Symphony Board. Her dedication, integrity, and leadership left a lasting mark on the financial and civic communities she served.

On October 6, 1968, Shirley married her husband, David Alan Ogden, in Phoenix, Arizona. Together they built a life rooted in family, commitment, and shared experiences.

Outside of her professional life, Shirley found great joy in cooking with her grandchildren – it was always special when they made homemade bread and pasta together, she loved creating big menus and preparing big family dinners. Additionally she liked tending to her yard and flowers, and traveling. She especially cherished attending her grandchildren’s events and celebrating their milestones, always present with love and pride.

Shirley will be remembered for her intelligence, generosity, strong work ethic, and devotion to her family.

She is survived by her husband, David Alan Ogden of Plano, Texas; son, Matt Ogden and wife, Jessica of Frisco, Texas; grandchildren, Wesley Ogden, Wyatt Ogden, Emily Anderson and husband, Jaxon, Jacob Drewery and fiancé, Megan Owens; and a host of other loving family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Hazel Seaborn; son, Brian Ogden and daughter, Tavonne Ogden Drewery.

A memorial graveside service will be held 3:30 p.m., Friday, February 6, 2026, at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.

The family will receive guest at a visitation before the service from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home. 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
