We knew Sherry for many, many years. Sherry was a Christian woman of faith, faithful and victorious to the end! Sherry read her Bible daily. She prayed extensively for her family, her friends and those in need. She checked on many people during the day who were widowed. She worshiped her Lord Jesus Christ and partook of the Lord's Supper weekly when the doors of the Abell St. Church of Christ were opened! She was the faithful wife of a preacher of God's Word, Paul Dan Jones. She assisted him to the best of her ability. She helped the congregation in many ways, having served a meal to the Ladies' Bible Class only a few days before her stroke. Sherry sent birthday cards to people. She embodied the ideal Christian woman. We know that Sherry was a loving Christian mother and grandmother, having talked often of her children and her grandchildren and her new great-grandchild! We will greatly miss Sherry, her friendship, her counsel, and her Christian example. It is my hope that I can live by her example and prove to be faithful to the end to receive a crown of glory in Heaven in Christ's kingdom as she has done! Our love, prayers, thoughts and sympathy extend to her family! Faithfully hers in Christ, Beverly Koonce Temple and Beverly Koonce, December 4, 2018 All of you are in my thoughts and prayers.
