Sherrie Fisher Weir was born June 11, 1944 in McKinney, Texas and passed away on September 28, 2022 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 78 after a long battle with cancer.

Sherrie was a faithful member of the Church of Christ during her life, which she attributed to her mother’s love and devotion to the Lord.  She was an active member of the Church of Christ on McDermott Road in Plano, Texas until her death.  She placed God and his son, Jesus Christ, as her supreme authority, and put her family’s wellbeing as the priority that guided her life. The time spent with her family was very important to her and brought so much happiness and joy to her life.

She is survived by her two daughters, Laura Jenkins and husband, Thad and Christy Babb and husband, Brent; granddaughter, Kayla Owens and husband, Jake; grandson, Brody Babb; great-grandson, Luke Owens; brothers, Jerry Fisher and wife, Laura, John Fisher and wife, Rebecca; along with several beloved nieces, nephews and two special aunts, Johnnie Fisher and Betty Fisher Phillips.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Weir, and her parents, Everett and Johnnie Fisher.

A family visitation will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Turrentine-Jackson- Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 3, 2022 at McDermott Road Church of Christ, 3600 McDermott Road, Plano, Texas 75025. Interment is to follow at the Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
