She was a devoted girl mom making sure her daughter was always well dressed, well read, and charming! Shelby moved to Texas in 1979 after her first granddaughter, Heather was born. She resumed her career in Dallas as a secretary with Firestone until she retired.

Shelby met the love of her life and soul mate, Peter Medeguari, and they celebrated their love and commitment to each other on their wedding day, November 2, 1985, in Dallas, Texas.  Shelby was deeply connected to her family and had a rich, fulfilling life. Shelby was also an avid fan of all sports, reader and movie goer. She shared her love through entertaining family and friends, cooking, dancing, weekly card games, and going on annual vacations with them.

Shelby is survived by her beloved husband, Peter Medeguari, of Carrollton, Texas; daughter, Terri Roberts, of Aubrey, Texas; stepdaughter, Victoria Rios (Carlos), of Flagstaff, Arizona; stepson, Victor Medeguari, of Douglas, Arizona; grandchildren, Heather Cunningham (Chad), of Celina, Texas, Ava Rios, and Carlos Rios Jr; two great grandsons, Christian and Carson Cunningham; and a host of cousins and friends, who will dearly miss her and forever cherish her memory.
