Shauna Rene Smith was born on April 17, 1961, in Dallas, Texas, to the parentage of Helen Nelson-Rochelle and Fred Lowery. She departed this earthly life on Friday, December 19, 2025.
Shauna attended Hillcrest High School in Dallas and later completed her Nursing Degree at El Centro College. She proudly devoted nearly thirty years of service to her career as a nurse.
Shauna leaves to cherish her memory the love of her life, her husband, Larry Smith Sr.; her three sons, Darrius, Christian (Sarah), and Larry Smith Jr.; daughter, Kimberly Smith; and her beloved grandchildren, Dylan, Gilbert, Kiara, Kyla, Kacen, and Zion.
Shauna is survived by her sisters, Yolanda and Domica (David); her half-brother, Leonardo; and a loving circle of aunts, an uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends who will continue to carry on her legacy of love.
She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Simmie Lee Rochelle Jr.; her half-sister, Freddie Lowery; her grandmother Beatrice “Doty” Nelson; and others who were dear to her.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 27, 2025, at High Pointe Church, 3201 North Central Expressway, McKinney, Texas, 75071.
