Sharon Denise Busenbark

Sharon Denise Busenbark of McKinney, Texas passed away on March 19, 2020 at the age of 62. She was born on September 13, 1957 to Lindsey Jack and Norita Donaldson Gunter in McKinney, Texas. Sharon grew up in McKinney, Texas graduating from McKinney High School in 1976. Sharon was first married to Mark Cherry, who passed in 1999, with whom she had two daughters. Sharon married Harold Keith Busenbark, the love of her life for over 25 years, January 22, 1993 in McKinney, Texas. She worked for State Farm for over 30 years as a Claims Representative. There she made a family of friends with whom she shared lifelong friendships. Sharon was a faithful believer in Jesus Christ, and was a member of The Sanctuary Church, McKinney for many years. Sharon’s passions included spending time with her family, gardening with her husband, and listening to music. She especially enjoyed playing the piano herself or listening to one be played. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She enjoyed hearing about anything at all they were involved in, and often expressed how proud she was of them.

Sharon is survived by her children, Nikki Smith and husband, Will of McKinney, Texas, Jessica Wooten and husband, Keith of McKinney, Texas, stepchildren Miesha Linker of Waynetown, Indiana, Jason Busenbark of Denison, Texas and Carrie Gilmore of Savoy, Texas; mother, Norita Gunter of McKinney, Texas; eighteen grandchildren; brothers, Greg Gunter and wife Brenda of McKinney, Texas, David Gunter and wife, Lena of Princeton, Texas and a host of other loving family and friends.

Sharon was preceded in death by her father Lindsey Gunter, her husband Keith Busenbark, and stepdaughter Shawna Stockton.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. Interment is to immediately follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas. The family will hold a visitation on Monday, March 23, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Due to current restrictions within the United States regarding the virus CoVid-19, we were unfortunately advised limitations apply for the number of people allowed to attend events. Social Distancing will be adhered to while at the Visitation, Memorial Service, and Graveside. As a result, no more than 10 people will be allowed at a time for the Visitation, so we ask for your flexibility and patience for the family. Anyone is more than welcome to come and sign the Registration Book on Monday or Tuesday. Additionally, we were told for the Memorial Service, we are limited to 10 people per room. We will have 2 rooms, both the Chapel and the Family Room, and the 6-feet Social Distancing recommendations will apply, and available seats marked. There will be a Live Stream during the memorial service via the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Facebook page. Anyone will be allowed to share the Live Stream, so it is recommended to log on to their Facebook page a few minutes prior to the service beginning via phone or computer for those watching remotely. Additionally, the recorded service will be saved to the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow YouTube page for you to view at any time. As we are in unprecedented times with CoVid-19, please contact daughter Nikki Smith at 972-897-0278 for questions regarding loved ones attending any portion of the services for Sharon.
