Sharon Elaine Rettmeier of Allen passed away on May 16, 2026, at the age of 82. She was born on April 24, 1944, in Rockingham, North Carolina to James P. and Marie (Strickland) Teal.


Sharon married Charles David Rettmeier on October 22, 1965, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and was a member of Calvary Chapel Church in McKinney, Texas.


She graduated from Harding High School in North Carolina and later earned her Registered Nursing degree from Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma. Upon graduation, Sharon worked for Jackson Memorial Hospital in Altus, Oklahoma, and for the Minirth Meier Clinic in Richardson, Texas.


Sharon enjoyed spending time with her beloved family and friends and her sweet dog Tank. She also loved painting, dancing, reading, family gatherings, and spending time at the beach. She will be remembered for her love of family, her warm and giving spirit, and the joy she brought to those around her.


Sharon is survived by her brother, James Teal and wife, Bebe of Clemmons, North Carolina; daughter, Teal Scott and husband, Stephen of Allen; daughter, Tara Schulte and husband, Richard of McKinney; son, Charles Rettmeier and wife, Kimberly of Blue Ridge; granddaughter, Keely Rocha and husband, Joseph of Celina and great grandsons, Isaias, Evan and Aiden of Celina; grandson, Jacob Rettmeier and fiancé, Ryanne of Cole City, Illinois; grandson, Tanner Scott and wife, Taylor and great granddaughter, Charlotte of Celina; granddaughter, Makenna Schulte of McKinney; grandson, Tyler Scott and wife, Anna of Austin; granddaughter, Emma Schulte of McKinney; grandson, Elias Rettmeier of Blue Ridge; bonus grandson, Beau Ford of Blue Ridge; and bonus granddaughter, Payton Ford of Allen.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles David Rettmeier.


A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 21, 2026 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.


The family will receive guests during a visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 20 at the funeral home.
