Sharon Carlene Hosterman

Sharon Carlene Hosterman of McKinney, Texas, passed away on July 15, 2025, at the age of 78. She was born on February 7, 1947, in Augsburg, Germany, to Carl Eugene and Helen (Caldwell) Phillips.

Sharon graduated from Westpoint High School in Westpoint, Georgia. On September 18, 1976, she married the love of her life, Ted Hosterman, in Atlanta, Georgia. She was a woman of faith and was a member of the Methodist Church.

Sharon cherished the time spent with her family and had a passion for travel. Among her favorite destinations were the Rocky Mountains, the islands of Hawaii, and the many adventures aboard Disney Cruises.

Sharon had a real love for animals. Over the course of her marriage, she rescued a number of dogs from local animal shelters, sharing the love and care they so richly deserved.

Sharon was a loving and caring person. She was liked and admired by those who knew her. She was humorous and witty, with a love for entertaining and storytelling.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Ted Hosterman of McKinney, Texas; grandson, Parker Davis of Charlotte, North Carolina; granddaughter, Julia Phillips Davis of Nashville, Tennessee; and sister, Patricia Taddeo of Hollywood, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Shane Davis; father, Carl Phillips; mother, Helen Phillips; and sister, Cristine Phillips.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 25, 2025 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. The service will also be live streamed at the following link: https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/sharon-carlene-hosterman.
