IN LOVING MEMORY

Shane Henry Blair

Feb 22 1983 - Jan 23 2023

Shane Henry Blair, of Van Alstyne, Texas, was known by others for his kind heart and infectious smile. Shane was great at seeing the good in those around him, was a reliable friend and partner, and thought of his two dogs, Traveler and Walker, as his kids.

Fearless and always seeking adventure, Shane worked as a tower technician around the state and beyond, climbing heights that few would dare, as he loved working with his hands and fixing things. Shane loved being outdoors and was often found camping or cooking an incredible meal with his partner, Hanna Hames. One of Shane’s favorite places was Colorado, where he could fish, float the river, have a beer, or search for stones along the riverbanks for hours. Shane often found relaxation by reading a good book, playing video games, sharpening his knife collection, or working on his jeep.

Shane was passionate about his rock collection, with an ability to find a beautiful stone on any outdoor excursion. Whether it be yearly trips to Beavers Bend, summer visits to Lake Texoma, backroading through the countryside, or visiting any body of water, Shane was guaranteed to come home with a rock, boulder, fossil, or some type of treasure. What we will miss most about Shane is his heart. A wonderful partner, his number one priority was to do anything for those he loved to make them happy, and often showed his love through his selflessness and loving acts for others.

Shane is survived by his partner, Hanna Hames; his mother, Lynda Harden; his sisters, Amy Blair and Angelique Blair; and two brothers, Shawn Blair and Shannon Blair; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and a long list of close friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at Berkshire Chapel, 9073 Berkshire Drive, Frisco, Texas 75033, on Sunday, January 29, 2023, beginning at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, we ask you donate to the National Park Foundation or Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation. Shane would spend all his time outdoors if he could, and he’d enjoy knowing others were spending a beautiful night under the stars as he and Hanna loved to do.
