Shane Carl Thompson, 46, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on April 14, 2017 in McKinney, Texas. He was born February 8, 1971 in Garland, Texas, to Douglas Eugene and Martha Ellen Griffin Thompson. He was an electrician for North Texas Municipal Water District. He was a member of the Hope Fellowship Church in McKinney. He married Charlotte Barroso on November 12, 2016 in Farmersville, Texas.
Shane is survived by; wife, Charlotte Thompson of McKinney, Texas; son, Michael Shane Thompson of Merit, Texas; son, Sean Dillon Thompson of Greenville, Texas; daughter, Kaitlyn Breanne Thompson of Merit, Texas; brother, Bryce Eugene Thompson and wife Kristi of Farmersville, Texas; sister, Mitzi Lavelle Williams and husband Donny of Farmersville, Texas; step-children; Joshua Smith and wife Brianna of Altus, Oklahoma, Jeremy Smith of Wichita, Kansas, Kaitlyn Martin and husband Nicholas of Denver, Colorado; Triston Hilton of Stillwater, Oklahoma; grandchildren; Emma Jane Thompson, Kaycee Smith and Noah Smith; mother and step-father, Marti Garner and husband Johnny of Farmersville, Texas.
He was preceded in death by; father, Douglas Thompson in 1983, cousins, Brian Thompson and Dusty Griffin.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hurst’s Fielder Baker Funeral Home, 107 N. Washington Street, Farmersville, Texas.
Funeral service will be on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Pathway Church in Farmersville, Texas. Pastor Jeff Andersen will officiate. Burial will follow in I. O. O. F. Cemetery in Farmersville, Texas.
