Scotty Wayne Prince of Melissa, Texas passed away January 19, 2022 at the age of 61. He was born on January 17, 1961 to Perry Jackson Prince and Jimmie Lee (Dale) Prince in McKinney, Texas. Scotty was a graduate of McKinney High School and he studied HVAC his first year at Grayson Community College. In March of 1991, he married Sharon Kay Gilmore in Melissa. Scotty later entered the transportation industry as a truck driver. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, farming, and going to the beach. Scotty was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved him.
Scotty is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 30 years, Sharon Prince; daughters, Tasha Sullivan and husband, Michael and Kaylee Prince and partner, James Gallini, all of Melissa, Texas; brother, Jimmy Prince of McKinney, Texas; sister, Pamela Prince of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Raylan, Riverly, Keagan, Jackie, Ray, Austin, and Natalie; and a host of other loving family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
