IN LOVING MEMORY

Scott Michael Kelly

Jul 08 1987 - Jan 23 2021

Scott Michael Kelly of Dallas, Texas passed away January 23, 2021 at the age of 33.  He was born on July 8, 1987 to Michael Joseph Kelly and Christine Elaine (Rowe) Kelly in Overland Park, Kansas.  Scott grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico and graduated from La Cueva High School. He earned his mechanical engineering degree from Texas Tech University. Scott was an avid sports fan and collector of memorabilia.  He followed the Texas Tech Red Raiders, Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas City Royals faithfully but was a fan of all sports.  He studied and appreciated a wide variety of music, art, literature, and movies.  He was teaching himself to play the ukulele and guitar at his passing.  Scott was a history buff, a trivia whiz, and a bit of a foodie.  Travel was a more recent passion and he made time for his two favorite annual trips; fishing in Canada and the NCAA basketball tournament in Las Vegas.  He was a Lego Maniac and spent his down time building Lego sets to add to his impressive collection.  Scott loved his work family and was proud of his accomplishments and many projects at M-E Engineers.

He is survived by his parents, Mike and Chris Kelly of McKinney, Texas; sisters, Jill Eshelman and husband Ryan of McKinney, Texas, Diana Knee and husband, Jordan of Murphy, Texas and Laura Kelly of Dallas, Texas; niece, Rose Eshelman; grandmother, Lois Jean Rowe; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many other loving family members and friends.  Scott will also be missed by his beloved cat, Teddy.

In support of our local, state, and federal government including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of guests will be allowed to attend the memorial service.
