IN LOVING MEMORY

Scott Mason Adams

Jan 15 1964 - Oct 10 2025

Scott Mason Adams, age 61, of Plano, Texas, passed away on October 10, 2025. He was born on January 15, 1964, in Dallas, Texas, to Jim and Janealee Adams. Scott grew up in Mesquite, Texas, and attended North Mesquite High School, where he participated in ROTC and developed his lifelong appreciation for teamwork and the outdoors.

Following in the footsteps of his father, Scott worked in the food brokerage industry for 40 years. He built lasting relationships throughout his career and was known for his strong work ethic, integrity, and for the way he always took care of his customers.

Scott loved being outdoors more than just about anything. He looked forward each year to the many weekends he would spend sitting in the stand, passing along his love for wildlife and extensive knowledge of hunting to his grandkids. The only thing Scott cherished more than being outdoors was enjoying every moment he could with his daughters and grandchildren, whom he took great delight in—taking the time to build a unique and special relationship with each one.

He had a deep love for music—especially live music—and always enjoyed the chance to two-step to a song or two. He loved his loyal dog, Duke, who was his little car-riding buddy and constant companion.

Scott was blessed with many wonderful friends who brought warmth and meaning to his life. He held each friendship close to his heart, cherishing every laugh, every hunting trip, every night spent on the back porch, and every shared moment along the way.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Dick Adams. He is survived by his mother, Janealee Adams; daughters Kristi Marshall of Snook, Texas, and Kate Menard and husband Lance of Snook, Texas; grandchildren Hannah, Joshua, Benjamin, and Evelyn Marshall, and Audrey, Gemma, and Winifred Menard. He is also survived by his loving friend, Kristin Woodward, whose sweet presence brought him great friendship, happiness, and love.

A memorial service will be held at Turrentine Jackson Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 N Central Expy, Allen, Texas 75013, on October 20th at 10:00 a.m. Immediately following the memorial service, a reception will be held at 8425 Director’s Row, Dallas, Texas 75247, where family and friends are invited to join together for food, fellowship, and remembrance of Scott.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Texas State 4-H Hunting and Wildlife Team, an organization that reflects his passion for the outdoors and youth hunters education. Donations can be sent to the Harmony Baptist Church Youth Shooting Sports at 6670 TX-36, Caldwell, Texas 77836.
