Saturnina "Nina" Alvarez Baldwin

January 24, 1940 - November 29, 2020

Nina Alvarez Baldwin of Plano, Texas passed away November 29, 2020 at the age of 80.  She was born on January 24, 1940 to Antonio Alvarez and Isabel (Gonzalez) in El Real De La Jara, Spain.  Nina married Larry Baldwin on January 14, 1964 in Sevilla, Spain. She was involved with Dallas International Women’s Club and Spanish Church at First United Methodist Plano.  Nina was a Special Needs Teachers Aid for many years.  She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Plano.

Nina is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Larry Baldwin of Plano, Texas; daughter, Marguerite Fenton and husband, Patrick; grandchildren, Nadia Schwartz, Kevin Fenton, Aidan Fenton, all of Plano, Texas; sisters, Dolores Alvarez, Puri Alvarez, and Isabel Alvarez, all of Sevilla, Spain; brother, Manolo Alvarez of Sevilla, Spain; brothers-in-law, Brent Baldwin and wife, Shana of St. Louis, Missouri and Randy Baldwin and wife, Nancy of Austin, Texas; sister-in-law, Lonna Turner and husband, Ed of Houston, Texas; and many nieces, nephews, other loving family and friends.

She was preceded in death by parents, Antonio and Isabel Alvarez; daughter, Nina Jackson; brothers, Juan Alvarez, Antonio Alvarez, and Jose Alvarez.

A private graveside service will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen.

A “come and go” visitation will be held on Sunday evening, December 6, 2020, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.   Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.
