Sarah Louise Skiles

Sarah Louise Skiles, 42, of Lakeway, Texas, passed away February 22, 2021, of cancer. She was born August 4, 1978, in Lubbock, Texas, the daughter of Dr. Roger G. Skiles and Laura Bush Skiles.

Sarah graduated from Highland Park High School in Dallas, Texas with the class of 1996. She graduated from the University of North Texas. She was employed as paralegal for the Attorney General’s office of the State of Texas at the time of her passing. In her spare time, she enjoyed hiking, reading, and spending time with her friends, family and two beautiful daughters.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her two daughters, Savannah Grace Kemppainen and Avery “Elise” Kemppainen of Lakeway Texas; her parents, Dr. Roger G. Skiles and Laura Bush Skiles of Frisco, Texas; her siblings, Martha (Jared) Nohr of The Colony, Dr. William (Brittany) Skiles of College Station; niece and nephews William Nohr, Shelby Nohr, Hart Skiles; her aunt, Emily B. Tobin-Keeling (Gene); her uncle, Robert L. Morris; and cousins; Karen T. Hendrix (Neal), Marianne M. Sweitzer (Scott), and Carolyn M. Smith (Bobby).

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William Stollings and Dorothy Harris Bush, Lloyd Warren and Tommye Jesalyn Skiles; her aunt, Beverly Bush Morris; her uncle, Robert W. Tobin.

A “come and go” visitation will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home. Only a limited number of guests will be allowed to enter the funeral home facility at any one time to maintain social distancing.

In support of our local, state, and federal govt including CDC directives and to protect the physical health, safety and well-being of our community, only a limited number of guests will be allowed to attend the Funeral Service.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 26, 2021, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. The service will also be live streamed at TJMfuneral.com on Sarah’s obituary page by clicking on the following link: https://celebrationoflife.tv/blog/sarah-louise-skiles. After the service, the recorded live stream will be available for viewing at the same link location.

However, when the maximum number of guests are reached, those who would like to honor Sarah and show their support to her family may remain at the funeral home in your vehicle, where you can watch the live streamed service on your personal device (laptop, tablet or smartphone) or listen through a designated FM radio channel.  Interment will follow at Pecan Grove Cemetery.
