IN LOVING MEMORY

Sarah Elizabeth Bryant

Jul 21 1939 - Jan 24 2021

Sarah Elizabeth Bryant, 81 of Crowley, Texas, joined our Heavenly Father after a brief illness. Sarah was the eldest child of Andrew Jackson Caplinger and Eva Frances who made their farming home on the plains outside of Dallas in McKinney, Texas. She graduated from McKinney Boyd High School in 1957. On May 30, 1957, in Durant, Oklahoma, Sarah married her lifelong love, Charles Murrell Bryant. She worked most of her career as an administrative assistant at Heating and Cooling by Caplinger, owned by her brother, Johnnie Caplinger.

Sarah embraced God with all her heart. She was a caring and generous mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend to all who knew her. She loved her neighbor as herself, enjoyed people, and helping others. In church, Sarah was actively involved in many ministries and charities with her giving heart. She loved children, and a favorite charity was the Pleasant Hills Children’s Home. She and the Ladies Ministry supported the Home with toys, clothes, supplies, and monies.

Traveling by literature or vehicle were her favorite pastimes. In retirement, Sarah and Charles loved to camp alongside others over many extended weekends with The Collin County Travelers, an RV camping group. She was fiercely devoted to the Travelers and served in many roles including president. She loved to explore God’s terrestrial beauty. The halcyon skies and craggy Rockies drew her and Charles for many summer trips to Colorado. On long walks, she would often extend her hand to the sky in intense admiration of the Creation.

To know Sarah is to love her. She was a friend to hundreds of people. Many people relied on and were comforted by her calm and gentle friendship, empathy and trust. She was intentional and purposeful across all of her relationships from family to friends. She loved to listen and learn about you, your day and your adventures. If a friend or family member needed help, she was always the first person to lend a hand.

Sarah is survived by her husband, Charles Bryant of Crowley, Texas; daughter, Chereé Noble and her husband, Kerry of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Michael Noble of Longmont, Colorado and Christen Tye and her husband, Andrew of Lake Dallas, Texas; great-granddaughter, Madyn Tye of Lake Dallas, Texas; sisters, Alma Burke and her husband, Ronnie of Crowley, Texas and Brenda Bourland and her husband, Don of McKinney, Texas; brother, Johnnie Caplinger and his wife, Kellie of Sanger, Texas; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Timothy Bryant.
