Mrs. Sarah “Sally” Giles Thorn Brantley, age 69, of Prosper, Texas, passed away on March 14, 2010 after fighting Alzheimer's disease for over 10 years. Sally was born in Lexington, Kentucky on February 27, 1941, to John McClintock and Virginia (Dibler) Thorn. She was a graduate of Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana, where she earned her Bachelors Degree and was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. Sally married Don Brantley on August 13, 1966, in Louisville, Kentucky. She was a member of DAR and an avid tennis player. She was also a loving and dedicated wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother and friend. Sally is survived by her husband Don, of Prosper; daughter, Julie Wiley and her husband Bill, of Prosper, Texas; son, Mark Brantley and his wife Melissa, of Plano, Texas; grandchildren, Tyler & Margaret Wiley and Grace & Logan Brantley; sisters, Ann Fulkerson and her husband Ed, of Troy, Ohio, Martha Snyder and her husband Bill, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jane White and her husband Bob of Columbus, Ohio; as well as many loving nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Virginia Thorn. A memorial service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Prosper United Methodist Church, with Dr. Frank Drenner officiating.
