Sarah Keleise Ferguson Beal was welcomed back to her heavenly home, 25 February 2025, at the young age of 47. Sarah is survived by her loving husband, Chris (Christopher James) Beal and beloved mother, Terry (Teresa Lee) Ferguson. Other surviving relatives who she greatly loved include aunts and uncles, Christa (Ferguson) and Richard Platt, Bryan and Diane Ferguson, Melinda (Ferguson) and Kevin McCarthy, and Laura (Ferguson) and Chris Struempler, and their children, her cousins. Additional family includes her Great Uncle Bill (William) and Great Aunt Sharla (Parks) Ferguson and their daughters and grandchildren. She also has loving aunts, uncles and cousins in Australia and more family in Samoa and New Zealand. Other special “sisters” who have remained close in her heart since college days, include Meaalii, Mele, Moana, and Linda as well as her missionary companion, Dana. She is preceded in death by her father, Samoan Chief Sau, Samuelu Sale Taueva, of Vaiala, Samoa who passed away in 1998 at age 46 and more recently, her maternal grandparents, who she deeply loved, James and Kay (Smith) Ferguson.
Sarah was born 29 April 1977 in Dallas, Texas and spent her childhood in Richardson, Texas involved in singing, swimming, girl scouts, church activities and especially enjoyed family vacations to the beach. She graduated in 1995 from J.J. Pearce High School and then attended Brigham Young University, in Provo, Utah, with a scholarship through the multicultural program, where she met some amazing lifelong friends, including those with common Polynesian backgrounds. She valiantly served an 18-month full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Utah Provo Mission, primarily serving in the St. George Utah Temple Visitors Center and loved every minute of it.
Sarah has spent a lifetime in various musical pursuits, since early childhood, usually wowing all those who heard her incredibly beautiful singing voice. She was classically trained in vocal performance in high school, competing and advancing in classical vocal competitions at the state Texas level. She sang and performed in multiple musical productions and assisted in leadership establishing the Dallas addition of the Millennial Choirs and Orchestras, while singing and performing for many years and recording multiple albums with MCO.
Sarah has always been “steadfast and immovable” in her faith in God and the gospel of Jesus Christ, being baptized at age 8 and always dedicated to the church. She served in many church teaching assignments, was a Relief Society President of the Singles Ward and served several years as an ordinance worker in the Dallas Texas Temple. Sarah also served in many church musical roles, performing and as choir director.
Sarah was employed for many years in medical health insurance roles and most recently was employed remotely for Baylor Scott and White as a Community Health Worker, which she truly loved. Sarah made a beautiful life together with Chris Beal, seven years ago when they married on Memorial Day, 29 May 2017 and were sealed shortly thereafter in the Dallas Texas Temple, settling into their first home together in Oak Point, Texas, which they loved. Sarah departed this Earth much too soon and fought hard for five months, trying everything against an aggressive cancer and no longer suffers with pain, but now lives freely with God.
A celebration of the life of Sarah Keleise Ferguson Beal will be held Saturday, March 8th with funeral services at 10:00am at her Ward's church building of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 8801 Martop Road, Aubrey, Texas 76227. We invite all to join us in wearing all white, in honoring her Samoan cultural tradition, however it is optional. The family will receive friends during a visitation one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Interment will follow later at 3:00 p.m. at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North in Allen, Texas. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Millennial Choirs and Orchestras would be her musical choice.
