Sarah Ann Reeb

Sarah Reeb of Plano, Texas passed away September 30, 2019 at the age of 78.  She was born on November 26, 1940 to Cecil Mack Spurgin and Jenny Anna Lee (Swatsell) Spurgin in McKinney, Texas.  Sarah grew up in Garland, Texas where she graduated from Garland High School.  She married Anthony “Tony” Reeb on May 3, 1980 in Plano, Texas.  Sarah was a longtime member since 1965 of First Baptist Church in Plano.  She sang in the choir and taught Sunday school for many years.  Sarah worked as a preschool teacher for over 28 years at Plano International Preschool where she taught international children to speak English. She was dedicated to teaching others and was an avid reader.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Tony Reeb of Plano, Texas; children, Lori Colombo and husband, Paul of Garland, Texas; Suzy Newsom and husband, Chuck of Plano, Texas; Christopher Reeb of Japan; and daughter-in-law, Karmisha Reeb of California; grandchildren, Heather Kennedy and husband, Kris, Lindsey McNulty and husband, Eric, Maggie Biggs and husband, Collin, Joshua Newsom and wife, Raquel, Amari Reeb and Inara Reeb; great-grandchildren, Liam Henderson, Brooklyn McNulty, Scarlett McNulty, Eli Newsom, Eve Newsom, Levi Newsom, Gideon Newsom, Talitha Newsom and Sojourner Sarah Newsom; sisters, Judy Buchanan and husband, Ancel of Smyrna, Georgia and Glenda Mays of Gilmer, Texas; many other loving family and friends.

Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Spurgin and Anna Lee Davidson; and sister, Melba Joyce Kirkland.

A graveside servive will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at Ridgeview Memorial Park, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
