IN LOVING MEMORY

Sandra Leigh Rossouw

Jul 09 1972 - Apr 01 2017

Sandra Leigh Rossouw passed away peacefully Saturday morning after a courageous, painful and private struggle with cancer. She beat it the first time but it came back suddenly and aggressively in February.  Sandy loved life and lived it to the fullest. She loved her family more than anything, always concerned about their health and happiness.

Sandy grew up in Bluefield graduating from Bluefield HS, West Virginia and later attended East Tennessee State in Johnson City where she qualified as a Dental Hygienist. She was loved by her loyal patients and every day came home talking about one of her favorites. She worked for Dr. Lloyd Lawrence DDS in Richardson for the past 18 years where she also developed a close bond with her co-workers.

Sandy enjoyed playing tennis, running, exercising, traveling and particularly spending time with her friends and family whether on the tennis court, taking in a show, out to dinner, on family vacation at Myrtle Beach or over a glass of wine at home.  She had a joyful spirit that everyone loved and she always thought of others before herself.  She lived her life in the way we all wish we could: bringing help, joy and a delight to others.

A devoted daughter, sister, aunt, wife and step-mother. Sandy is survived by her husband, Marc Rossouw; step-daughters, Kristin and Samantha Rossouw; parents, Ernest and Dorothy Chizmar; her brother, Michael Chizmar; her sister, Patricia Shaffer; three nieces, Katie Shaffer, Melanie Butler and Kristin Chizmar; nephew, John Shaffer.

A devoted Christian, Sandy has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations in her name be made to Grace Presbyterian Church, 4300 Park Blvd, Plano Texas, 75093.

Please join us for a celebration of Sandy’s life on Monday, April, 10, 2017 at 6:00 PM at Grace Presbyterian Church followed by burial at Ridgeview West Memorial Park, 12130 Peaceful Lane, Frisco Texas, 75033.
