Sandra Kay Duncan passed away on March 4, 2023, in Frisco, Texas. She was born on October 31, 1952, to Donald Lewis Dye and Eleanor A. Carlson, Dye in Galesburg, Illinois.
She grew up in Quincy, Illinois and graduated from Quincy High school. In high school, Sandra met the love of her life Merle, and they were married at Vermont Street Methodist Church in Quincy on July 25th, 1970. Merle and Sandra were blessed with 2 sons, Sean and Michael Duncan. Sandra and family moved to Plano, Texas in 1983 and lived in the North Dallas area ever since.
If you knew Sandra, you knew her to be intelligent, strong, passionate, loving, and the perfect example of what a strong woman is and can aspire to be.
She taught her boys the importance of being ethical, responsible, caring, present, hardworking, and an overall good person.
Sandra’s whole world centered around her family. She would, always (usually at the expense of her own health, sleep, finances, or peace) do everything she could to ensure they never wanted for anything.
She is survived by her son, Sean Duncan and wife, Pam of Frisco, Texas; son, Mike Duncan and wife, Akina of Melissa, Texas; grandchildren, Nathan, Xavier, Brook, Andrew, and Kayden; mother, Eleanor Dye of Quincy, Illinois; brother, Brad Dye and wife, Karen of Lake of the Ozarks and sister, Lisa Houston and husband, Michael of Quincy, Illinois.
Sandra is preceded in death by her husband, Merle Duncan, father, Donald Dye, one sister, Terri Wilhoit, and one brother, Brent Dye.
A Graveside Service will be held on 10:00 AM Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Chapel, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013.
