Samuel Savage

August 8, 1941 - December 6, 2019

Sam Savage of McKinney, Texas passed away peacefully at his home on December 6, 2019, at the age of 78.  He was born on August 8, 1941 in Harris County, Texas.

Sam started his career in South Texas owning a chain of grocery stores which he sold in the late 80’s.  In the early 90’s, he moved to the DFW area where he pursued a career in automobile sales.  Sam excelled in car sales and was promoted to Sales Manager and eventually to General Manager.

Whether he was bowling, hitting a golf ball, or deep-sea fishing; Sam always excelled in any activity.   He was gifted in many ways, highly competitive and practiced any undertaking in order to perfect his game.

Sam will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 27 years, Penny and children, Trey, Lori, (Roy) King, and Brittany Stansberry.  He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Heather, Brad and wife, Chelsea, Marshall and wife, Meredith; brother, Jerry and wife, Patty; three nieces, Melanie and husband, David, Angela and husband, John and Meredith and husband, Rob; five great-grandchildren. 

Sam was preceded in death by his parents, Sam Savage and Lula Mae LaCoutre.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Aristide, 6200 TPC Drive, McKinney, Texas 75070.

Dear Penny, Sam's memorial service was beautiful. You could tell everyone loved Sam and you. It felt so good to see Brittany and you. Wow, it's been so many years... where have they gone!
