IN LOVING MEMORY

Sam S. Berry

Sep 09 1970 - Sep 05 2022

Samuel Scott Berry of Allen, Texas passed away September 5, 2022 at the age of 51.  He was born on September 9, 1970 to Wallace Edward Berry and Susan (Criglow) Berry in Zweibrucken, Germany where he lived as an infant. His family later moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana and Sam grew up in the Tioga Community in Central Louisiana.  He was a graduate of Tioga High School where he formed many friendships.  Sam earned his bachelor’s degree from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana.  After graduating, he relocated to Dallas, Texas for work in 1992.  Soon after, Sam met Susie, the woman he would marry in 1996.  They welcomed their son, Jake into the world in 1997.  Through years of dedicated work, Sam became Vice President for Brown & Brown Insurance Group.  Even through all his successes with work, he never lost sight of his family.  Sam loved his family especially their camping trips and being together outdoors.  All his hunting, fishing and outdoor adventures were logged with great detail.  The memories come together and always shine just because he was there. He loved introducing family and friends to the wonders outdoors had to offer.  Sam also had a caring heart and would do anything for anyone often going without just so other could have instead.

He is survived by his wife, Susie K. Berry of Parker, Texas; son, Jake S. Berry of Parker, Texas; parents, Wallace E. and Susan C. Berry of Natchitoches, Louisiana; sisters, Laurie M. Berry of Natchitoches, Louisiana and Julie E. Shirley and husband, Matthew of Ruston, Louisiana; nephew, Taylor Stetzer of Celina, Texas; niece, Kaylin Stetzer of Dallas, Texas; nephew, Jackson A.
