Mr. Sam Junior Odil, age 87, of Princeton, Texas, passed away on Friday morning, December 9, 2011 in McKinney. He was born October 25, 1924, in McKinney, Texas, to Sam and Hattie Odil. Mr. Odil worked at the Princeton Co-Op Gin, was a plumber, and retired after many years of work in concrete construction. He is survived by his brother, Clifford (Babe) Odil and wife Peggy of McKinney; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and many friends. Sam was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 53 years, Maurine Odil; brother, Doyle Odil; sister, Marie (Tootsie) Butler; and sisters-in-law, Lena Langley and Dortha Clements. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 11, 2011, at Princeton Cemetery in Princeton. The family will receive friends during a visitation Saturday evening, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow in Allen, Texas.
