Salvador Leal Herrera Sr., age 48, of McKinney, Texas, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017. Salvador was born February 23, 1969, in McKinney, Texas to Miguel B. and Florinda Leal Herrera. Salvador was a talented home renovator who truly lived his life to the fullest through simple pleasures: being surrounded by friends and family, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and hanging at the softball fields. Salvador had an uncanny ability to sweep any girl off her feet with his smooth dances moves, contagious smile, and famous "you too little" phrase.
He is survived by his children, Jessica Herrera of McKinney, Texas, Salvador Herrera, Jr. and wife, Linda of Princeton, Texas, Veronica Hickman and husband, Sidney, of McKinney, Johnathan Herrera and wife, Meghan of Anna, Texas, and Matthew Herrera also of McKinney; grandchildren, Jayden, Madison, Mia, Jordyn, Jaxon, Roman, Adrien, and Troy; siblings, Mary Lee Valverde, Roy Aragonez, Antonio Aragonez, Eduardo Aragonez, Maria Rangel, Jesusita Camarillo, Arnulfo Herrera, Gilbert Herrera, Linda Cantu, Phyliss Garza, and Benito Herrera.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Miguel and Florinda Herrera, and sister, Juanita Aragonez.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 1, 2017, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel in Allen, Texas. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen. A rosary will begin at 7:00 pm, followed by visitation until 9:00 p.m., Monday, July 31, 2017 at the funeral home.
