Sally Jane (Peebles) Gray, age 80, of Frisco, Texas, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022. She was born November 2, 1942, in Dallas, Texas, to Mary Elizabeth (Thomas) and Thomas Ezra Peebles. After graduating from Sunset High School in Dallas, she attended North Texas State University in Denton. Sally married the love of her life, Rockford “Rocky” Vance Gray Jr., on March 21, 1964, in Dallas and they were blessed with three children. Sally taught preschool and loved being around kids. She also worked as a high school counselor’s secretary. Sally enjoyed working as a fitness instructor as well. She was always active in her church. She loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends. Sally was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
Sally is survived by her beloved husband, Rockford “Rocky” Gray; her daughters, Hollie Havens and her husband, Kirk, and Amy Ridings and her husband, Mark; her son, Rocky Gray III and his wife, Lori; her granddaughters, Chandler Sherrod and her husband, Cason, Adyson Gray and Honor Ridings; her grandsons, Trent Havens and his wife, Valley, Hunter Havens and his wife, Julia, Landry Gray, River Ridings, and Catcher Ridings; one great-granddaughter and five great-grandsons; her brother, Jon Peebles and his wife, Janice; and her sister-in-law, Jane Tobehn.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Thomas Peebles; her sister, Bobbie Wolens; and her brother, Tom Peebles.
The Funeral Service will be held at First Baptist Church Grand Prairie, 950 Mayfield Road, Grand Prairie, Texas, on Monday, November 21, 2022, at 11:00 a.m., with Visitation one hour prior beginning at 10:00 a.m. Dr. Bill Skaar officiating. Interment at Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens, 3001 S. Beltline Road, Grand Prairie, Texas.
