Sally Ann (Flemming) Voeller of McKinney, Texas passed into eternal life on January 24, 2019. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Sally was born on January 27, 1934 to Oscar and Rose (Rombalski) Flemming in Winona, Minnesota. She was married in Los Angeles, California on January 8, 1955 to the love of her life, Leonard.
Sally excelled in her career, but her passion was her family and her church. She was the church organist at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church in Canoga Park, California for 13 years, prior to moving to the high desert of Hesperia, California where she was a member of the choir for Holy Family Catholic Church for 21 years before moving to McKinney, Texas in 2005. She was also a gracious and loving woman who took tremendous pride and joy from her 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Sally is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Leonard Voeller of McKinney, Texas; daughters, Bonita Voeller-Grzywacz of McKinney, Texas, Carleen Lenassi and husband, Mark of Suffolk, Virginia, Jeanine Cherry and husband, Rory of Mt. Vernon, Texas and Kathleen Levesque of Bend, Oregon; son, Scott Voeller of Las Vegas, Nevada; son-in-law, Ken Heisser of Centennial, Colorado; twenty grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Kathleen Flemming of Antioch, California and numerous other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Roseanne Heisser; and her parents, Oscar and Rose Flemming.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 31, 2019 at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, 110 St. Gabriel Way, McKinney, Texas 75071. Interment will follow at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211. The family will receive friends during a visitation on Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas. A rosary service will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
