Ryan Patrick Gonzalez of McKinney, Texas passed away March 20, 2025 at the age of 30. He was born on September 23, 1994 in Houston, Texas, and was the beloved son of Jesse A. Gonzalez and Shelly McCauley Gonzalez.
Ryan was a graduate of McKinney High School, Class of 2013, and went on to earn his degree in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University. He worked as an Asset Protection Manager/Investigator for JC Penney, and he loved his job.
Ryan had a variety of interests, including playing Dungeons and Dragons, video games, and watching movies. He also enjoyed listening to music and spending time outdoors, especially fishing. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family, siblings, and friends.
Ryan is survived by his parents, Jesse and Shelly Gonzalez of McKinney, Texas; sister, Megan Gonzalez and her wife, Candice, of Denison, Texas; paternal grandparents, Armando and Patsy Gonzalez; aunt, Debbie Dena; uncle, Sean McCauley and wife, Jenny; cousin, Nolan McCauley; and cousin, Brian Dena and wife, Elisabeth.
He was preceded in death by his aunt, Sheri McCauley; uncle, Joseph Gonzalez; and maternal grandmother, Kay McCauley.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 28, 2025 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 110 St. Gabriel Way, McKinney, Texas 75071. Private interment for immediate family only will be held at Ridgeview Memorial Park following the service.
The family will receive guests for a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday evening, March 27, at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 2525 Central Expressway North, Allen, Texas 75013. A rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m.
